ISABELLA MAE CERAMICS

I am a Falmouth University Contemporary Crafts graduate from Bristol, specialising in textural, sculptural and slip-cast ceramics. I am also an aspiring potter, and hope to be able to combine functional hand thrown ceramics with my current style and use of techniques. 

 

I feel my work is a simple reflection and embodiment of landscape, and its colours, textures, forms and materials. It is an exploration into my relationship with the materials I am using. I would like interaction with my work to have a simple effect on senses and emotions. I want it to be something someone wants to touch and feel, something that conjures a sense of place, and something that reflects appreciation and fascination for subject and materials.

As a Crafts person, I hope to further explore and experiment with the use of many other materials such as wood and metal.
